Making an Offer

Before the offer to purchase is created, it is very important that you have been pre-approved by a lender or have proof of your available funds to purchase.

After you have found the right home, it is time to prepare the offer.

You will be presented with a Seller's Disclosure to read and understand.  This is required in the State of Florida and contains valuable information about the property.  Ask questions about anything that is not clear to you.

The agent will prepare the contract for purchase.  It is a long document, but it is important to read in its entirety and ask the agent about any parts you don't fully understand.

Give the agent your initial deposit check.

Be ready to negotiate if necessary to get the home you really want.  But, try not to get stuck on "winning at all cost".   Keep your eye on the prize!  A comfortable home for you and your family.
